Marty Knight, a lifelong resident of Belton S.C. has been a professional karate instructor since graduating from Erskine College with a Bachelor of science degree in Physical Education.
His competitive career includes 17 State Championships, 3 National Karate titles, as well as being a two-time World Karate Champion. Marty have earned over 700 victories in black belt fighting. He was a member of the Chuck Norris Team that traveled to Russia, where Marty was named the most valuable US fighter and was awarded the key to Tashkent, the last city of the Russian tour. Two years later Marty returned to the Chuck Norris team to China--- where he was undefeated the whole tour. Marty has won every major karate tournament in the US. He owned one of the largest winning streaks in karate when he retired.
Marty came out of retirement to compete in the USA vs The World compettition in Honolulu Hawaii in 2001. He won 1st place in the Master Series, making him world champion.
He was on the cover of SPAR magazine's premier issue for Nov 2000-Jan2001. He was featured in the Legends article. Marty then went to Mexico in 2002 where he competed and won 1st place in the World Martial Games in Riviera Maya (cancun)
He was named wimmer of the 2003 Living Legend Award by WCCP FM (104.9 Sports Radio)
He continues to compete and train and is the promotor of the South Carolina Karate Circuit and the Southern Karate League and is on the board of Championships. He is the promoter of the S.C. State Karate Championships, which is one of the longest running competetions in the South.

Mr. Knight is a two-time former World Karate Champion, who has a talent for passing his skills onto his students. In this day and age there are so many karate instructors claiming to be the best around, yet most have never even taken their black belt test, much less competed against another black belt to test their skills. The Marty Knight system can prove and trace it's history for the last 30 years.
When searching for a studio to train with, please take the time to ask the questions you need to and observe all classes. Believe it or not, even now in the new millennium, there are still classes out there that break boards and speak in different languages. We do not break boards and we are very up-to-date on our teaching and training methods. We speak in English and show respect by saying "Coach" and/or "Sir". There are no "masters" we don't believe in that concept and feel that focusing on the students ability rather than inflating the instructors ego proves to be the best way to teach.
We are confident that you will find that there is simply no comparison to the instructors credentials.... the facility....the students....and your goals in Karate as a whole. Through our doors walk some of the most confident people in our area and we would like to have you as one of them.

date for this school is September 12th at 3 p.m.
